Images down
My secondary site at distrogue.awardspace.com has been suspended because of all the traffic. Since that site hosts all of my images, my blog looked like an utter mess after the images went down. I'm switching to a predefined Blogger template for now, but that's only a band-aid fix while I look for a more capable host. Sorry again for the inconvenience.

How about using a dedicated image hoster, like 23hq.com or Flickr.com or whatever?
It's not just the images I'm concerned about. My stylesheets and PHP scripts are also stored there (so the server needs a working copy of PHP with ImageMagick support).
I think the _main_ problem is that too many people were downloading the 200+-K wallpaper file. It only takes 25,000 downloads of the wallpaper alone to max out the bandwidth quota. By using indexed colors, I managed to make the images a lot smaller (mostly under 1.0K), but I think that might cause some problems with transparency. (I also managed to bring the wallpaper down to a scant 3.0K by drastically redesigning it, so it's 1680x1 now.)
